Our Farmers

Farmers Are The Solution to World Hunger

There are millions of small-scale farmers in Africa today who hold the keys to solving world hunger if only they had adequate resources. Most farmers have quit farming because they are unable to afford disease-resistant seed varieties, fertilizers and farm tools. They resort to cultivating a small area of farmland for their family only, reducing greatly the impact they would have been able to make in their communities at large if they had these resources.

Farmcrowdy is committed to empowering farmers by giving as many individuals as possible the opportunity to sponsor a farmer. By involving more people in agriculture, we can solve the problem of hunger and increase food production and security in Nigeria and Africa at large.

Female Farmers

When you empower a female farmer, you empower an entire community. Our first initiative for female farmers at Farmcrowdy was with Akwa-Ibom female farmers for the planting of improved varieties of cassava.
